Up early and headed straight down to reception to see what could be done about our rooms. Spoke to the manager and she said she would arrange for us all to have rooms with balconies and was very apologetic so worth having a whinge.
Great breaky- huge choice and then met our guide Tom at 9am.
Off to the harbor where we had our own boat just for us. First stop the Nha Trang Aquarium which was interesting then we fed the fish and turtles outside. Headed to Mun Island for snorkeling. Not too rough so no seasickness. All of us less Poppy jumped in to snorkel. Grandy and I had to wear life jackets as current was strong and none of us had fins. Plenty of coral and some tropical fish but not as brightly colored as we hoped.
Once back on board we went to a fishing village and had a huge lunch of seafood. Some Chinese men beside us were having a great time and came across to us to wish us a happy new year and have a toast. Very funny.
Then it was back to the mainland and our hotel. New rooms were terrific and we all had a rest before walking down to the Sailing Club right on the beach for a drink. Beautiful place- expensive for Vietnamese prices but not by Australian. Took lots of photos as loved the look of the place. Then took a walk along to the Louisiana BrewHouse which was lovely and right in the beach as well. Another drink and headed back to the Sailing Club for dinner at S????
Absolutely delicious and great table right on the beach.
All pretty tired so back to hotel for early night..
