Packed up early and after breakfast headed off to Phnom Penh with our driver Mr Ty. Still honking his horn all the way through the countryside! Liam sat up front this time. Arrived at 12.30pm at Hotel Castle again. Had a whine about the dark room Wayne and I had been given and was upgraded to room with balcony so that was a coup. Headed straight out with our guide Wannie and new driver to Tuol Sleng Genecide Museum. Here we learnt and saw the atrocities committed by the Kymer Rouge in the 70's . It was sickening and very confronting. The boys were very affected by what we saw as were we. It is so hard to believe that in the modern world this happened and the outside world didn't realize for such a long time. I was 12 years old when they were liberated.
From there we had an hour or so at the Russian Market to do some bargaining.
Out for early tea to Karma Restaurant just around the corner on the riverfront. Then bed at 9pm
