Hey Guys! Tots today as Matt wrote the last blog!
I just did something silly (not sure what) but have just lost the whole blog I just wrote which was amazing so bit emotional now!
We have a very dramatic story from today, involving Matt and a piece of chicken! We went out for lunch today and Matt was enjoying his chicken so much that he took a really very large mouthful, and then suddenly was telling me that something had gone down the wrong way. He proceeded to black out from the pain, fall forward into his lunch and then backwards off his stool, hitting his head on the way before landing on the floor passed out. By this time I was in such shock I was nearly hysterical calling out somebody help, somebody help! Everyone rushed over to see what was going on, one lady was saying that he wasn't breathing, and it was all rather dramatic (and emotional for me). He came round, wondering what had happened and why everyone was round our table, and then told everyone he was fine and continued to eat his lunch. This was despite everyone telling him he really should go to hospital (including me) but no he was adamant he was fine! We finished lunch and proceded to go to the Sydney Aquarium for the afternoon! Anyway the rest of Sydney will come in a later blog! The moral of the story ladies and gentlemen, always cut your chicken into small pieces...
Since Cairns we flew down to Brisbane, which was wonderfully easy, and then after a night there we hopped back onto the Oz Bus and continued our journey South. On the way to Surfers Paradise, we went Zorbing, which for those of you that dont know, is basically rolling down a hill in a giant inflatable ball. - Great fun, but the pics speak louder than words so I will let you enjoy those once they are up!
Surfer Paradise wasn't really what we were expecting - it was a large (quite tacky) touristy town, and we didn't do a huge amout there, apart from our best day in which we went to Dreamworld (the Disneyland of Australia), which was great fun! However I did find out that Matt doesn't handle too many rides in a row - quite hysterical.
From Surfers we moved on to Byron Bay, which was a lovely little town, with a gorgeous beach and the most easterly point of Australian Mainland. We hired bikes and cycled there which was a great day, apart from the way there, which involved me nearly dying form being so unfit :s the views were beautiful from here though which made it all worth it and we even saw some humpback wales migrating!
Unfortunatly since then I have not been quite right - a bit poorly sick, but hopefully I will be back to myself soon! Because of this I am going to leave Matt to upload the photos as I need a bed! After Byron Bay Matt has already filled you in with what we were up to so I am sure you have loved seeing his surfing photos and reading his blog!
All our love and kisses, be in touch! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
