Still in Byron Bay-loving it here, i could literally stay here forever! Over the last few days weather has been abit rubbish-had a few overcast/rainy days but still sounds better than the weather conditions i've heard you've all been experiencing. The good ol' sunshine is out beaming again today though

Went to Nimbin on sunday with "jimmy's alternative tours" (the name says it all really!) with helen, simon, jc, niaomi, gregg, erin, kathy etc etc ...hmmmm interesting place....i've posted a few piccies of the small town on here...first stop on the way to Nimbin was a market in the town of Bangalow (could of spent hours here-huge array of gifts, jewellery, handicrafts, clothing, food....huge alternative market!) I was on my best behaviour though and didn't spend a penny....HOWEVER the market comes to byron next sunday so the temptation might be too great! After trugging round the market for a hour or so, we hopped back on the bus (...the tour bus with the tunes...!throughout the ride we enjoyed the sounds of local dj's-each song having a relevence to the area we were driving through/to/activity we were doing etc. Upon arriving in nimbin we encountered our first inhabitant who thought it'd be hiliarious to jump around in the middle of the road in front of the bus-lol!....think someone had smoked a bit too much pot or eaten a few too many cookies!amusing to watch thou....we saw him again when it was time to leave sat enjoying a smoke with..... a police officier...LOL!! We had a wander round the small town, looking around the museum....the owner subtley supplying cannabis to many a visitor, along with the coookies and chocolate crumbles being disgreetly sold in the back cafe area! visited the hemp bar-found easily by the huge spliff located above it! I was just in amazement how they got away with it all....was such a chilled out atmosphere-probabaly due to half the visitors/local being 'stoned'! There's really so much i could write about this place but my hand's hurting from all this typing so i'll have to fill you in on more details once i'm home-i'll have a few funny stories to tell! http://www.nimbinaustralia.com/ .On leaving nimbin we made for the minyon falls-PHOTO OPORTUNITY-amazing view! and to enjoy some fresh exotic fruits and nuts before making the rather 'chilled out' trip back to byron bay on the n (stop on the way back @ food store-so those with the 'munchies'

Many of the last few days here have been spent around the town, doing a spot of shopping, chilling out on the gorgeous beaches, socialising:nothing too taxing! Did finally manage to 'sort my life out' yesterday thou...and planned a bit more of my trip up the east coast, was starting to feel like i was just drifting around abit, and those of you that know me well will know that i hate not feeling atleast a little organised!!! I'm staying here in Byron till sunday, then monday me, helen and jb, are heading up to surfers paradise till wednesday 4th april. Helen then leaves us and heads straight to hervey bay, whilst me and jb head to brisbane where i'm gonna stay till wed 11th april and then onto noosa to spend a couple of days there......feel better now i've got a abit more structure to my trip!:o) and it'll be great us 3 travelling up with the east coast for abit together....got to know some really lovely people over the last few weeks-and forever appear to be bumping into ppl i've met earlier in my travels. Saw jo last night so that was really nice to catch up with her and amy.How did u enjoy cheeky monkeys girls? ah we love that place...a few good nights have been spent there.....with lots of dancing on tables!!!

Still got so much more i want to do here...tonight we're gonna have a chilled evening and head to the art factory cinema to see 'rocky' as tomorrow morning we're heading upto cape byron to view the sunrise from the lighthouse- means very early start haven't had one of them for a while...but it'll be worth it!we're told the view is spectacular..... wanna get back into the sea again too, but this time we're gonna stick to bodyboards...
