Treated to an awesome Wimpy's lunch, they have become a lot more successful and appealling here in SA. The South Africans love cream soda which is quite nice (but no Irn-bru to me), and they often have it with ice cream as a cream soda float. Simon and Jack loved them.
The cinema here was crazy cheap at 28 rand (2.50 pound) and half price on a Tuesday!
In the afternoon, we took a stroll down Kenton's fine beaches across the lagoons, rocks, over the sand dunes and walking back via the streets where there were some amazing houses. You wouldn't believe the prices neither. For something here costing 150k, would cost you about 600k in the UK. It's that crazy. So any property market investors, SA might be a decent shout!
Had a drink in the afternoon at Simon's favourite bar, Stanley's. It is high up overlooking a stunning plateau by a river and we could see zebra, deer and giraffe grazing in the distance. At the bar, apart from a pain-in-the-ass bull terrier slobbing all over me wanting me to grab and throw lemons, it was also very nice. A praying mantis landed on my shorts too, it's one thing I've wanted to see since I'd seen pictures of it in a book when I was younger! They're awesome and their eyes are so alien-esq!
Jack's got a new, and the updated extra zoom version of my camera that his Mom sent out with Marylou, so now, relying on him for all the good shots!
Spolit with more delicious food in the evening including the cholesterol-free ostrich sausages, pork, avocado and Maureen's super salad. Ended up having a few drinks and playing pool 'til late. 'Hats' v 'non-hats'. Not a bad Valentines Day in the end without a Mrs!
