More splendid food today, legs, fillet steaks, potato salad, gemsquash with cheese and sweetcorn. Watched Robin Hood and Flipped on DVD. Made my peachoffes fior everyone which went down a treat!

Trip to Port Alfred and another Wimpys! Cherry smoothies outrageous! Marylou's cousin and wife arrived to join the fun. Plenty of drinks in the night and more 'Hats' v 'Non-hats' pool. Jack did some tasty banana-amarula pudding!
Maureen got a bit excited when potting a ball. Simon kept flinging his arms in the air and shouting big respect. Funny times....
Christo loves gambling and so I gave him a few footy tips of which none paid off. Eventually though, I won him a good bet on the cricket which covered all the lost footy bets!
Been watching plenty of NatGeo and sport!

Visited Bathurst for lunch at 'The Pig and Whistler', the oldest pub in Africa (or Sa I forgot). Ate basket of chicken and chips with raspberry-cane (like vodka).
Then sight-saw at the Horseshoe overlooking forest and a game reserve, where a river has meandered around and almost formed into an ox-bow lake.
In the evening we drove around the Sibuya game reserve where we came across impala, kudu, gemsbok, springbok, zebra, giraffe, buffalo and wildebeest. Also saw many birds including a toucan!
Nearer the roads we encountered ostrich and monkeys. I reckon I saw a lion and I was positve but when we went back to check no-one believed me!
Went for awesome pizza tea at Marylou's favourite place and chatted with a guy trying to catch raggedtooth sharks in the river mouth. He had some bites but no luck!
The sunset was incredible over the dunes and ocean, the moonlight too, sparkling over the water.

Another Wimpy's and a day of tanning. Mongoose spotted in the garden. Jack's Uncle Mike and Heidi arrived so good food, drink and pool was in order!

Simon's belated birthday party at Stanley's bar.
Super food and drink and saying goodbye to Mo and Christo and Jani and his wife.
Simon's birthday cake was four doughnuts around a candle with a giant 2-litre bottle of cream soda with ice cream!
Place was busy and there were lots of toucans waiting for scraps of food! Beautiful birds!
Had another little game drive and saw many deer, zebra, wildebeest, warthog and even picked up a heavy tortoise. Shhhh.

A return trip to Bathurst and then Grahamstown before another game drive on the way home.
Really ill late at night, worried Malaria was back....

Marylou insisted I went to the docs, and after consultation and bloodtest, turned out I had gastro-entiritis (if that's how it's spelt). I had exactly same symptoms as when I came down with Malaria so if I ever get flu again, I'm gonna get checked!
Watched England scrape past Holland in cricket and we had a nice boat trip down Bushmans River where we saw rhino, giraffe and deer. More super food before watching Spurs lose to Blackpool. Typical Spurs result but I thought we played really well!
Found out about earthquake in New Zealand killing people and learned about Laura's house falling down. Bad, bad times. At least they were all ok.
