Hey eyeryone! I'm leaving Goa this afternoon after all sorts of weird and amusing things happening, especially over the past couple of weeks! The place where I have been staying is pretty cool and met some crazy characters including a couple of Finish girls, a mad German and Hyperactive Chinese girl, funny times!
Met the Finish girls when we went out to try and find 'Paradise Beach', a massive beach with hardly anybody on it, there where four of us the to Kaisa, Hanna ( the Finnish Girls), a strange Brussels chap and yours truly! flying around on scooters, got on a ferry with the scooters to cross a river, it didn't cost a cent! couldn't believe it there had to be a catch, but it never happened... found an old fort, well just some bricks really but pretty cool, under cover of all these trees. found out where the beach was so headed for it, the only thing was that we'd have to jump in a fishing boat to cross a river toget to it these locals must just see ATM's when they see travelers! so we argued for a bit then someone else rocked up and took us across for half the price, awesome beach though!
Also headed to the spice farm with Kaisa and Hanna where this chap who was in charge of explaining all the different qualities of there indigenous spices was talking way too much and i couldn't pay any attention to what was going on because of all the elephant noise going on down the road, we wanted to sneak away and go have a looky at the eli's, but we had to hang around for a little while... those eli's were NOTHING compared to our African mofo's!, but I let them have pictures with me and the girls!
The swell started picking up so had a chance to get into the water and get a bit of surf, saw a big fishy in the water and told everyone in the house I had seen a shark and I dont care man, it has to have been, even when you ask to see the fresh fish platter in the restaurants here they got baby hammers hanging off the dish!, and they catch them not even a km off shore.... 2 arms 2 legs 10 fingers 10 toes, see how long they can stay attached for!
Also met up with a dude from Perth, Callum, then things started to go pear shaped, get a few waves in the morning and late afters then get a couple toots in, we ended up in this Russian bar with a whole bunch of loose peeps, for sure they guys are zombies they were on all kinds of rubbish funny as some chap was convinced that the dolphins here are made for rubber and controlled by the government, couldn't listen to anymore of these conspiracy theories so at 6 in the morning decided to teleport home.
A bit tired and short on money thought it would be a plan to head into the nearest town and find an atm, to do this we needed a scooter again, so we get this thing, dude takes my passport as deposit, standard procedure, so of we shoot huge blind right corner coming up, between two rocky hills, usually heaps of traffic, thank goodness it was a quiet day cos the breaks didn't work, squeezed as hard as possible then became a Flintstone and put my feet (had flip flops on) on the road and pick up the front wheel couple seconds later I was chewing on some serious cowboy toothpaste (dirt), sliding along was a bit confused as to how Callum ended up running in front of me and the scooter, felt a bit better after he eventually ploughed as well! Sorry dude but that was funny! Any hoo after seeing Callum wipe out while I was still in motion, sliding across the dirt eventually came to a stop found myself in a drain with the scooteron my leg, but for some reason the only thing I was worried about was where my sunglasses were, at a strech, found them and put one of the lenses back in then decided to get up, fuuuuuuuuu, feel the pain! pretty scratched up and bruised now but still in tact just move really slow, like I'm walking on the moon!
So the next day was carnival, great stuff, all walks of life on the beach, only thing is managed to get a slight infection on leg form the water an sand and general messing around otherwise things cool, I hope you all like the pictures and everyone is well!
Peace
