Ended up on a very late and very messy session last night. Went to a really nice BYO Viatnamese restaurant. Made our way afterwards to the local hotspot Shennanigans (aka Shags for any Skerries people reading). In my defence this was the first Irish bar I'd entered since arriving in Oz! Fionn wasnt feeling great so he wisely left early, the remaining four of us did our best to drink the bar dry whilst listening and requesting songs from the excellent Josh on the guitar.

Eventually got ourselves together today and went to Mindil beach. The weather is in the early 30's so is the first real chance I've had to lie on the beach and relax. Unfortunatly Darwin is famous for its salt water crocs (salties) so swimming aint a great idea, the locals send the dog in first! It was so hot though that we had to get in a small bit and just went for a roll arounf at knee deep level and ran back out! Met up with Vick's friend Veronica, who she lived with for a while in Dublin and is studying here. She gave Vicky a package posted from Cork so she was delighted! We watched the sunset on the sea and then went for fish and chips and we're now going to have an early night.
