Woke up to a great a sunrise as sunset. This was about 6am and we still had another 8 hours until we reached Alice Springs. Finsihed the book, which I would not recommedn and we arrived in Alice at about 2pm.

As our bags were chucked onto the train in a hurry we had to go searching the train for them and eventually hauled our MOUNTAIN of stuff onto the free coach to our hostel. We're staying at Toddy's hostel on Todd Street. The town is an odd assortment of a place, defo dominated by the tourist but it has a very backward feel about it.....picture Lusk only minus the Latvians and plus McDonalds, Burger Kings, KFC, Subway etc. It has a population of under 10,000 and it dominated by Aboriginal people, a new experience for me!

We're getting packed for our 3 day tour to Urulu this evening as we're off at 6am in the morning. We're just packing the essentials and leaving our backpacks at the hostel. Sleeping out in the bush under the stars in swags tomorrow night so it should be great.......my first real off road adventure in OZ!!!!
