On Tuesday we drove to New Plymouth via Brooklands Park, where we saw several old trees including one that's 2000 years old! Our campsite was on a cliff overlooking the beach and
we did a short evening walk along the coast. On Wednesday we went to see the waterfalls and
fountain at Pukekura Park before driving to Hamilton via Waitomo Gloworm Caves (photos
weren't allowed) - the gloworms were eerie but very pretty. Today (Thursday) we drove back
to Auckland via Hobbiton LOTR tours in Matamata - it was an exciting tour of the film set but we aren't allowed to say much or to disclose any photos or we could get sued!! This evening we went for a meal at Nandos in Albany in Auckland with Dom's gran Peggy, aunt Liz, uncle Ian, cousins Jonathan, Michael and Kate along with Jonathan's other half Bridget and Kate's other half Leighton. Tomorrow is our last day so we'll just be spending a bit more time with Dom's gran and getting packed up. Kia Ora!
