Our final day in Slovenia was a little bit less exciting than those which had come before it. The massive storm that had come the night before left the place a little cool and cloudy, and killed our motivation to swim in the lake. On top of that, we were quite tired because of the craziness at the hostel the night before. The bus to Ljubljana (from where we would travel to Hungary) was at 17:30, so we had some time to kill. After checking out of the hostel, I hung around and skyped with Dad, and also briefly with Mari's dad. We went for lunch and tried the locally famous Bled Cake, which tasted pretty bloody good.
When we arrived to Ljubljana, we had to wait about 3 hours for our train to Budapest. There was a maccas next to the train station, and since the weather was still s*** we set up camp there. I don't think I've spent that much time in a maccas since I was in Xi'an, China when it was -5 outside and I arrived there at 4am.
Anyway, we finally boarded the night train to Budapest at about 11pm. It was a 10 hour trip, but we had a cabin to ourselves. However, it didn't have lights and I had to bust a fat slash in the dark. Mari slept immediately as always, but I needed 3 hours of Sons of Anarchy to tire me out....
