After a stormy night in BA we got packed to head to La Paz. Penny went out for some water, got lost for 45 minutes and made me wonder if I was doing the rest of the trip on my own. She eventually turned up 5 minutes before the taxi. We got to the airport and attempted to get through Passport Control with each others passports. it didn´t work but amused the staff!!

After a 4 hour flight, a plane change at Santa Cruiz in Bolivia, and a further 1 hour flight we got to La Paz, got a taxi to our hostel and went to bed.

After a completely sleepless night due to altiude sickness we headed back to the airport (even higher than the city) to catch our flight to Rurrenabaque in the Amazon. On arrival we discovered our flight had been cancelled and we had been bumped to another flight several hours later. We hung around the airport, feeling worse and worse until eventually I had to borrow some of the nice airport doctors oxygen. Eventually we got on our 15 seater plane and headed off on our 45 minute flight.
