HI Guys How are you all?? Hope everyone is cool and good. I have great news, FRUIT PICKING IS OVER!!!!!! HURRAH!! To all those people that didn't think I could complete 3 months of hard, thankless work, I say HA HA HA!!!!. Let's face it I did 3 years at Npower so 3 month's was gonna be a walk in the park! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though, yes it was hard, hours were crap, money was awful but had some really good laughs and met some really cool people. So here me and Aled are in Melbourne. 2nd largest city in Australia, used to be the biggest until Sydney crept ahead. Melbourne is an ace city, it really really REALLY reminds me of back home. The places, the buildings, the parks, the weather, just feels a bit like England. Me and Aled have a place now as well, we're are living in the beach suburb of St Kilda, its the main backpacker place in Melbourne, with lots of lovely restaurants and bars and cafes. Oh and its also on the Beach!!! It's winter here now so not really beach weather, temperature today is 17 degrees (Brrrrrrrr) but its useful to have the beach there. I've also managed to get myself a job and finished my first week there, not bad going for only being in Melbourne 2 weeks eh???Working in Melbourne centre for an Accountant Accreditation company, still first week but seems ok, have picked up everything pretty good so looks like will be ok!! Al's still looking for work but he has an interview on Tuesday for Assistant Chef so fingers crossed for him. Haven't yet managed to be able to afford to go out properly in Melb yet but that might change tonight, it's that lovely Ozzie idea of having free alcohol in work after work has finished, so thinking I'm going to get pretty blotto, let's hope I don't regress to my Barely Mow days eh!!!!! Also in other news, can you believe it's now been a year since I left the Uk, doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago!!! Did anyone go to Pride this year?? Sam says it was a complete washout. I've applied for my 2nd year visa as well, I've gotta have my medical and a chest X-ray done but all being well that should be approved and then can continue my travels.
