Wow what a city! Arrived in Vancouver yesterday afternoon after a good flight (watched Marley and Me which brought on a few teary eyes for the pooches). Made our way to the hotel which is amazing and located right in the centre of the attractions.

Decided to go straight out and visited Canada place and the port area and then up to an observatory to view the whole of Vancouver, mountains are viewed in every direction. Went for a meal of bison and monkfish washed down with locally produced ale in the revolving observatory restaurant while watching the sun set over the city. What a way to start the trip!

Just had a hearty american breakfast of bacon and eggs and a muffin or two, before we set out to tackle Stanley Park by bike. We're starting energetically! Fingers crossed for no tumbles off the bikes!
