We've spent 3 days in Calgary and it was strange being back in a city after the mountains of Banff. The city was clean and nice but you had to look for things to do as a lot is inside because of the cold winters. We decided that as we prefer the outdoor settings we would give Edmonton a miss and spend another few nights in Banff beforee heading off to whistler and vancouver island. Ok after a very tiring day yesterday .. riding around stanley park and granville island market on the mountain bikes (22K) we headed to the cinema to relax and watch a film whilst our bums recovered. Wow what a city! Arrived in Vancouver yesterday afternoon after a good flight (watched Marley and Me which brought on a few teary eyes for the pooches). Made our way to the hotel which is amazing and located right in the centre of the attractions. Decided to go straight out and visited Canada place and the port area and then up to an observatory to view the whole of Vancouver, mountains are viewed in every direction.
