In the 8 hours or so we had in DC we went down to the monument, took some suggestive photos, which i believe are on the DC 2nd album, then walked over to where the pentagon was. By this time it was raining, not quite as bad as Philli, but nearly, and we were both without "protection". so our walk turned into a search for the Pentagon City Mall, which after a while got more and more irritating. We stumbled across a garage, so went in to get supplys in the form of Mountain Dew
in fact let me diverse away from the story for two ticks.....Mountain Dew, anyone remember it? it used to be around in probably year 9/10 of school then all of a sudden disappeared, which for me and Phil Howard was a sad occasion because we used to live off it at school and when we were rock climbing. But over here it is massively popular, which is why i have been living off the stuff for ages!
so anyway, i needed my mountain dew injection for the day, and some chocolate, so we went into this garage by the pentagon grabbed some stuff, went to pay for it, and was asked to present my "military ID", which obviously i dont have, so that was just the icing on the cake. I was soaked, cold, and in need of a sugar rush, but couldnt get any! where were you tibs, with your Navy card..then i'd have been fine!!
So we eventually got to the mall, a little wet and hungry, but by the time we reached it, it was time to go on the metro back to the station!
25 hours later, and for the first time ever, early, we arrived in Miami.
