Hey Hey!
Hope eveyone is doing ok back home? We miss you all.
LA was amazing simply because we got to see Alex :D
We were expecting her on Sunday night, but Alex and Matthew missed their connecting flight from New York, so we had to wait a whole extra day for them to turn up on Monday.
It was soooooo good to see Alex, I got a little bit emotional :*) it was like having a little slice of home.
The place we were originally booked in was a hell hole, so we cancelled it and went down the road to a Budget Inn. Cheap and cheerful.
LA itself was a bit of a funny one. Not all glitz and glam like the movies make out. We enjoyed ourselves none-the-less. We ate out lots, including a place called the Pig & Whistle which was recommended in our guide book. The night we went there was 50% off which made it even better.
We had an early birthday present and went to Universal Studios. We had a nice day out and the weather was beautiful for us all day.
We had a day roller skating (Stevie skateboarding) along Santa Monica Pier which was fun! We rented the gear, and bought socks as we were all wearing flip flops, and skated up and back again.
We (Sam, Alex and Matthew) went to a club called The Abbey on Santa Monica Blvd. It's a gay bar that was super busy. The music was cheesey and everyone was dancing, they had dancers (mainly half naked men) up on the stage and it was a good night out.
We also went to Grauman's Chinese Theatre and saw the Hollywood walk of fame, and all the foot and handprints of the stars.
We had a drive down Rodeo Drive, although none of us could afford anything on the street! We saw the hotel that is in Pretty Woman, then did a bit of street-stalking, and drove round the neighbourhood looking at all the huge posh houses!
We were sad to see Alex go, but they dropped us off at the airport and we went our seperate ways. Again, I got a little bit upset that she was leaving us. But we are off to Hawaii...YAY!!!
Much love, hugs and kisses
Stevie & Sam
