Today we officially hit the wall!! We pedalled 35 miles (62km) mainly along the side of a really long and wide canal in the baking sunshine! Doesn't sound tough but our asses are now very sore and we were very glad to see the town of Hasselt appear in front of us as we will be here for two nights!

Highlight of the day was the field of sunflowers, another red squirrel and the packs of cyclists in their matching outfits! They were everywhere and man they are quick! We have started to wander if Belgium is actually a ghost town, because you never see anyone in the suburbs! Only on bike paths!!!

Hasselt is lovely and we had a gorgeous meal tonight and bottle of wine so Sally is fast asleep again as I write this!!! Now we can relax and go bonkers dancing tomorrow to some ace bands! Laters!!! Dan and Sally xxxx
