Magic Day!
Finally in the traditional Disney Park - the girls couldn't wait to do Small World, Peter Pan and Tea Cups. Due to light rain and thin crowds we nailed em pretty quick. Yvonne thought Pan wasn't as good as the French one we did, Sarah was disappointed with small world and Tinkerbells favourite fan, Danielle, didn't spot Tinkerbell in the Peter Pan Ride. She was gutted!
The day gradually improved after a re-run of Pan and D spotted three Tinkerbells. Best ride for the day was Space Mountain - an in the dark, single seat wide rollercoaster - we even got Sarah and Yvonne on that one. Quirkiest ride was a 'Funny River Cruie' which was a constant stream on corny one liners.
We spent the whole day there so we could see the fireworks over the castle - which were excellent. During the afternoon I went off for a while to pick up a hire care so we could get around more easily for the next few days. After fireworks at 8, we did a few more rides till the park closed at 9 (Brooke was keen on the Go Carts, which led you round a windy track) and we squeezed in some re-runs of other rides.
One really interesting 'ride' was disneys Carousel of Progress. A giant round building, where the doughnut shaped outside is what rotates - with various animatronics on a stage in the middle. (Modelled on something he did in the 50's I think). The man was a visionary....
Anyway - time for a break from theme parks - off to Kennedy Space Centre tomorrow - after a quick shop on the way home (For a late dinner) then crashing to bed around 11. Yvonne and I now 'fully sick'! and no sign of it going!
