Today we visited St Abb's Head Nature Reserve. Even before we got there, we had some excitement ~ we overtook a red arrow!!! (Ok ~ it was being carried along on the back of a truck). It actually stayed dry all day although a mist was lurking about. We arrived at lunchtime and had some lovely food in the café at the location. Afterwards we decided to walk. The walk took longer than expected as we were greeted to so many spectacular views. Most of the seabirds had gone but there were still a few who remained, mostly gulls but also some shags. Originally, we were only going to do the short walk but ended up going to see the lighthouse and continued beyond. I think we may have gone beyond the marked path on the map but rejoined with the path further on (the way back was less treacherous as it replaced single pathways on the cliff's edge with a single track road). All in all it was a wonderful walk (although I'd hate to do it in the rain).
