7 Seas # 3
I was dispatched at 0730 to lay towels on our preferred loungers. Totally unnecessarily as it happens as lots of folks were leaving. We decided to try the "late breakfast, skip lunch, early dinner" approach today…..
No sign of the sleepy one by 9 so I returned to the room to find her busy on trip advisor. I guess we haven't just stumbled across these places by chance……Meanwhile it looked like a large rodent had kelped itself to some of our complimentary bananas…..
Chilled out on the beach until noon swimming and reading. The daily monsoon closed in a bit earlier than normal. Clouds brewed, moved over from the mainland, we heard distant thunder, rain over Koh Mook…..by 1245 KohMook had been enveloped by a black wall that was moving towards us. The staff went through their routine, the wind started followed 10 minutes later by 2 hours of rain. Good job there was an excellent DVD library! Watched "The Break Up.:
The sky cleared and we set off for an early dinner at the back-to basics resort next door. Nice fried rice and Tom Yum, however the banana pancake was the best I have eaten.
Walked back along the beach as it was getting dark and stopped in the bar at 7 Seas for a rum and coke and a few hands of cards.
