So we are heading bak to tokyo to get some stuffdone that we nissed last time we were there. We ended up booking the same hostel as a couple of guys we meet in the hostel in hiroshima, so we travelled bak with them(hey tim,hey nick, hope u found some bars in the end).I say travelled in this country that means sitting very comfortably on very fast trains with helpful polite staff. Took bout 5 hours and these guys knew where the hostel was so it was a pretty easy mission in the end, right next to Asahi headquarters with the Golden poo(check the pics). That night me and caz set off to find the Park Hyatt Hotel, to the uninformed this is the hotel from the film Lost In Translation with the amazing bars on the top floors. Took a bit of wandering but we got there eventually looking fairly respectably (by this i mean i looked fairly respectable, or clean, Caz was of course the better looking half of this infiltration mission). We got the very plush elevator up, walked out into the finest bar i hav eva seen(luce i truely feel this is your mecca), I mean this place was far above and beyond wot we are used to. We got seated at the bar which gave us spectacular views of tokyo at night. I hav never felt so affluent. We didnt take pics cus, well basically we didnt want to look silly in the very classy joint. Had our drinks and went to look at the other bar, i think there is one pic of me in front of one of the views there.
The next day we were heading to the Futuristic district (actually called Odabia). We got the tram over as its a little off shoot island, the tram had wheels like a car, was strange but it was genius, the road it takes goes up and down, round buildings giving some unique views of the bay. Anyway we there and head straight to the Museum for Emerging Science and Innovation. This place was fantastic, really really cool. It had different floor dedicated to diff areas in science and contained displays for all ages. We saw a demonstration of asimo, the honda robot. This was seriously cool, we hav video of this, it does little dance moves, but seeing it run was awesome!!!! they hav a massive model of the earth hanging from the ceiling made out of digital displays which show real-time weather and satellite images which looked both cool and very expensive. There was so much cool stuff in that building. Caz found the earthquake study corner, this has real-time seismic activity for the region and you can look up activity for the last couple hours to weeks. Funny enough caz had woken in the morning to shaking (as her friends on facebookwill already know). She told the guy explaining how the computer worked, he seemed sceptical until she pulled up the data, there it was in red and black, a small earthquake had occured this morning at excatly the time caz had woken up. We left after a load more exhibits and headed to fort venus, a shopping centre based around 18thcentury architecture. Was pretty cool, this is were i got my cool new lego t-shirt(spence if u could fit in it u wud try and steal it). After awhile in this area we went bak to the hosteland had some drinks in its bar and planned Hakone.
