Hola, Buenos Dfas, Amigos. Como esta?
Just to put your nerves at rest, WERE STILL ALIVE!!!!.
We've left St Tropez, (One month In and counting!) and arrived at our campsite near Pamplona in Spain. We took two days to get here and split it up by stopping in Toulouse over night. We stayed at a Formula 1 Hotel, (thankyou George for recommending them) They are a great concept, you can rent a room from a vending machine, and it just gives you a code to enter to gain access to the room. The best part is that it costs just 33 Euros per night regardless of how many people are staying! That night we got a Chinese takeaway which was yummy considering we didn't have a clue what we were ordering. MMmmmmm Yummy monkey brain chop suey.
Anyway, the north of Spain is just like the north of France and seems to have the same weather as Cornwall, It was a bit of a shock to leave St Tropez in 36 Degree Heat and wake up here at just 5 degrees. We've had to dig out all of the warm clothes that have been lost in the roof box since leaving Germany!
Were staying about 15 miles away from Pamplona, in the middle of nowhere again, but were right next to a beautiful lake with hills all around. There is a small village at the top of the road, no shops, no cafes, no restaurants, nothing, nada.
This morning we got up at 5:30am (that's 4:30 England time) to see the running of the bulls in Pamplona. However we still didn't get to the old town in Pamplona quick enough to be entered in as a runner or even to get a spot watching the running through town. The town was covered in rubbish, people sleeping in sleeping bags in the most strangest of places, vomit and had a nice waft of pee in the air from Yesterday's activities- yesterday was the start of the fiesta which lasts all week- and is the 2nd biggest party of the week- the last day apparently being the best.We finally followed everyone else to the end of the run and managed to get a spot in the bull ring, the atmosphere was electric, and the place was bursting with people. We managed to get a good view- but had to suffer for it as the place was that full people just kept pushing forward.Martin got a T shirt with a bull on it, and we got a bull sticker for the back of the car! Yeah how cool are we!! Been there, done that, got the T-shirt and a sicker!!
We didn't take many picturesbut we did our best to get a video of bulls running through the Bull-Ring, Trust me its Loads better than the video of the Coo-koo Clock. We will also add a video showing a bit of the drive from the campsite to the local shops, Really Exciting Stuff!!!, Oh and look out for the pictures of the road to nowhere, it's a prime example of why you should never trust your Sat-Nav, and why foreign roads are so rubbish, Things like that don't happen in England…… Do They???

We have made it to North of Madrid near Salamanca- for a 2 night stay. We've heard today that someone was gorged by a bull on the day we were there- how cool is that! Obviously pretty bad for the poor sod, who by the way was a Spaniard- see us English- far cleverer take a seat in the stadium!! We've decided we are going to go watch a bull fight- we have our eye on one in Granda around the begining of August- we are just trying to sort tickets out. So that will be cool- let's hope for lots of blood!
We have picked where we are going to stay in Portugal- Nazare- north of Lisbon and a place inbetween Lagos & Fara- in the Algarve.
Its great to be in Spain where the petrol prices are a mear 1.26 euro's- yep thats just slightly over £1.00 a litre!! Whch is heaven to the 1.70 euro's in the south of France. We are considering buying a petrol tanker to travel back to England in.
So thats it really tans coming along well- thank you for all the lovely messages- keep them coming.
Can not wait to see the bump scan on 16th! xx
Glad to har everything is going well Aunty P- we are thinking of you. Love to Aunty M- have a great time in Landudno. xx
