So this morng we took of to Lantua island. We took the MTR to thend of the line then took a 7 km cable car to the general area of the monastary and Budha. The cable car went over two bodies of water and two mountains. We even went in a glass bottom one one way. We had great views of nature and of the airport from the cable car.
When we were at the monastery we saw the ussual selection of temples. Buton to9 of one of the peaks was the biggest bronze budha I have ever seen. It was so large it seemed like it must have been made by nature. Pr3tty cool to see a little tiring to climb all the stairs but it was not the long hike I was expecting.
We then walked around downtown a bit... not doing ajything specific.
Part 2
I am nowcfinishing this blog up 20with fred snoring away in the background as always. After I stopped writing we went to shin tan race course to bet on the horses. I read that the race track I wanted to go see them at was closed due tovturf iss6es. Ajy way this back up track was still huge. I bet 80 dollars over the course of the night and won 76 dollars baco. Fred bet 80 and won 230. It was fun to see tgrough breds, and their grass course and there gate starts from a dead stop. Not to mentiom the huge stadium.
After that wr came back to the hotel. I think tge plan for tommorrow is to otur tge beaches and beach communities in the other side of the mountaij on the south shore.... then to get the suits and then maybe the night market.
Later all.
