Hello everybody
Well, we're back on track now, and the bruises are fading !! We spent some time in Rotorua looking at the geysers and mud pools and standing on the thinnest part of the earth's crust. What an amazing sight. It's just wild to think about what the earth is doing. The sulphur smell is pretty amazing too !!!! Aaarrgghh !! Actually, you get used to it after a while, until you stand next to a steaming rock that is pouring out loads of steam and smell.
We are now in Waitomo where there are at least 300 caves which have been discovered. We are going down shortly to decide which ones to visit - so many of them look tempting. However, I am NOT going black water rafting - which Ian is trying to persuade me to do. That's rafting in the DARK in the CAVES, with COLD water. I don't think so !!
I can't believe how close to Christmas it's getting. How is the Christmas spirit with everyone ? All the decorations are up here in NZ and I've just hear Christmas Carols being played, but it doesn't seem right.
Lots and lots of love to everyone.
Issy (and Ian, of course)
