Just read through your recent update and how I envy that lovely weather you are enjoying. Here, it is cold and foggy - you are wise to stay in Oz until March! My sis and hubby are enjoying their travels in OZ, currently somewhere in Melbourne. Look forward to reading your next update.

Hi there Issy!
Sorry I haven't been in touch, tried to post a message ages ago but for some reason I was suffering from temporary idiocy and coundn't work the damn thing!!
Anyway, I am so jealous to see you are having an absolutely amazing time and I don't want to see any photos whatsoever!! hee hee!
Keep enjoying yourself anyway, hope you had a good Christmas and a great New Year and be sure to smuggle back a lickle cutsie kangaroo for me!

Lovely to read that you are enjoying some relaxing Down Under before you head off to NZ. What an experience you have been having - but the time seems to be flying by so fast !! Am off to Tenerife for some sun and warmth and then going to the US for Christmas and New Year with Sam and Sal. Definitely gonna take the thermals then. Have a wonderful Christmas & New Year wherever you are then. Love to you both, Maggie xxx

I was just thinking that I am going to dread when you show me all 55,000 photos (Except the one where you say "Oh and this is a nice one - A photo of the Spanish Inquisition" As you can imagine the only possible answer would be "I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!!"

Hi - first time I have got on to the site - but it is brilliant. I got thinking of you last week when I am sure I bumped into Pat at the North Midd, it was one of those days when only 1 lift was working and taking for ever for anyone to go anywhere. I was coming down and she was going up and we didn't have a chance to talk, or maybe it was all a figment of my imagination! Anyway hello to everyone, I will keep track of you from now on and look forward to a catch up on your return (if you decide to do so). Keep enjoying - cold, wet and dark this end. Sue M

Bird Life: I presume that the white bird with the big beak that consumed your lunch was a pale-skinned fellow passenger on the tour. Cannot think of any aussie bird species that would be aggressive enough to take such liberties. Well except for the cassowary and it would be more likely to eat you.
Fraser Island: Definitely worth a good look. Spent a week on horseback/camping tour on Fraser and it was one of the most memorable holidays ever. You have two arms and two legs so the sacrifice would be justifiable.
Train Trip: You may be in line for a bravery award re the train trip from Cairns to Harvey Bay. I thought thay the only trains north of the Brisbane Line were the little narrow guage flat-top jobs loaded with sugar cane that trundle unexpectedly across the highways in the cutting season. Perhaps they do a bit of passenger work in the off season.

I think that big white bird was a sulphur crested cockatoo. Hopefully you'll see some in the back garden when you come to visit us. They seem to move around the area a bit, so we don't see them every day.
Good luck on the train!
lots of love,
Alex and Mike

Hi Issy
Just got back from a month in North Cyprus. It was fantastic and really warm. Not as warm as you are though!
I have loved viewing your pics and reading your news. Sounds like you are having a fantastic time.
I am going for an interview today with Kay Maleary to do the job you were doing before you left. It is not weant I want but a job is better than no job.
Still haven't sold the house. I have a viewing tomorrow and the people have sold so hope they like it as I am fed up with "house chains"
Off to Leiston on Friday. Soooo looking forward to it. You will be missed.Take care and carry on loving it! What a fantastic experience that you will remember all your life.
Much love & laughter. Lynn XXXX

Hi Issy,
I have been thinking about you a lot. I managed to catch up on the blogs today - what a brilliant site! I absolutely loved the photographs. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to share your experience with everyone.
We have missed you at meditation, but our loss is clearly your gain. We know you are with us in spirit, as we are with you on your journey - which sounds exciting and a little scary at times. So glad you've managed to get some rest and relaxation in too, and sorry to hear Pat has been unwell . I hope she's feeling a lot better soon!
Not much news here except I'm walking normally now, still out of work and it's pissing down with rain! I BET YOU WISH YOU WERE HERE? JUST KIDDING!
Much love and light to you both.
XOX
Sophie Coombs that looks absolutely amazing! hope your having fun! lots of love from the family. Sophie xxx
