I'd set an alarm for 5am as me and Reens were going to ride our bikes to the waterfront to watch sunrise (aww romantic moment), instead of waking up at 5am I was crawling into my bed! Sunrise reschedule.
Struggle waking up at 9am but the sun is shining brightly outside, it would be a shame to waste such a beautiful day. Majority of the people at breakfast were hanging, at least we weren't the only ones who looked a state.
Several hours later, car hired and armed with only a cartoon touristy map (oh how I miss tom tom) we decided to set off for the South of the Island. Slightly worried that it's Reena first time driving on the other side of the road.
Covered Campeche which had a stunning long beach with what seemed like only 4 people on it!
We did over 120km of driving around the island. South of the island was my favourite. The further down you went the more scenic and remote the towns became. Some stunning landscapes with a wide variety of different beaches.
There's something so therapeutic and relaxing about listening to the sound of waves along the beach.
