Phenergan party! Time to K.O on our 12 hour overnight bus journey from Sao Paulo.

Arrived in floranopolis for 6am, sun hasn't risen yet and the place looks stunning at night. Only been 15mins in the taxi rode and I'm already thinking we should extend our stay here.

Florianopolis is the capital of Santa Catarina which is famous for it's gorgeous beaches and surfing.

Once again our hostel is on top of a hill (inca training) but it's like a mini holiday resort with a bar, restaurant and swimming pool. In hostel terms it's considered luxury. Forget backpacking it's all about glambackpacking!

Lucky to get a 10 bedroom dorm to ourselves! By the time we checked into our hostel was 9am? So we decided to make the most of the early morning start and hired scooters for the day. But they wouldn't start up and being a Sunday all other hire stores in town were closed. Instead we ended up walking for hours around the beach front. The scenery is beautiful! Visited Lagoa beaches, sandboard dunes of Joaquina.

After a long walk and several espressos to keep me going we decided to go with the traditional BraIlzilian Sunday which consists of chilling on the beach, BBQ and samba dancing in the evening.

Finally made our way to J beach, which was amazing, the waves were really powerfully and with the sun shining it was a perfect afternoon.

Sambas party tonight on the beach with the locals no tourists! Can't wait : )
