My Lovely Long Holiday
Damp arrival into Yangshuo, but stunning scenery on the way here - rice paddies with a backdrop of needle-like hills. Saw a man taking his water buffalo for a morning walk on a lead too.
Took to the water on a motorised bamboo raft for an hour or so to get a great view of the karst peaks surrounding the Li river. Was pouring with rain but didn't make it any less spectacular.
Dined on yummy lemon & curry chicken (separate dishes). Forgave the dog and bamboo rat hot pots on the menu as they had wi-fi, woo-hoo - the first time in 10 days.
Early night for us rock 'n' roll lot, big day out on the bikes tomorrow.

Lindsey Hi Thalia, just caught up on your blog. Sounds like you are having a great time! Look forward to reading the next installment. Love Lindsey x
caroline Hi Thal im up to date now. It sounds brill. I love the cuddling pandas and the strange flavoured crisps xx
Nicky Hi Thals Sounds like you are having a fab time. Looking forward to seeing your hundreds of pics when you get back. I am very jealous you got to hug a panda. You won't be so lucky when you go to Borneo though, however much you ask they won't let you hug a baby orang utan! Loving the funny food stories and glad you are staying away from the dog and rat but you need to be more adventurous than pizza, crisps and magnums! Make sure you try lots of the yummy stir frys in Vitenam and Thailand!! I particularly recommend Chicken fried rice and pineapple shakes in Thailand. Chicken fried rice might sounds boring but so much better than what you would get back home. Looking forward to the nexy insalment! Nxx
