We're leaving Koh Phayam tomorrow and heading to the jungles. We've had a great time on the island. Yesturday we went for a trek into the island and walked to the local village where the tourists don't go. There were only many small huts, a school, and a bizziarly situated christian church - no stores. The school was very rudimentary. The kids sit only on the concrete floors and all ages of kids in one class. The dogs run in and out of the school and the kid...

Hey Guy, Just a quick update. Koh Phayam is beautiful. Our bungalow is right on the beach and the boogie boarding is fantastic. Gavin did a few headers which were very amusing - feet straight up in the air - board flying - then Gavin re-appears looking rather disshelved. I found my new addiction - and its awesome exercise. (And Yes Sensei - Karate on the beach is cool too:). This is the type of place you want to come back to year after year - and very cheap....

Hi All, We have just spent 10 days on an Island called Koh Ra where there was only one bungalo operation on the whole island called Eco Lodge which is aptly named as there is only power at night from 6:30 - 10:30pm.
