Hello!

So last night we ended up going for dinner at a pub near our hostel. I had quiche which came with salad and potatoes for 9 pounds!! That's like almost 20 dollars cdn. damn this city is expensive!! We ended up not going to the movie and instead just walked around the area. It is very easy to get lost here, everything looks the same!!

After that we just went back to the hostel and sat in the lounge and talked with some people before heading back to our room. The other 3 ladies were there too so we all chatted for a while. I think I mentioned that they are here for a lace conference?..well needless to say I now know more than any one person should know about lace!!

I didn't have the greatest sleep, the beds are alright but the pillows are so flat and uncomfortable my neck got really sore and it defintely didn't help that the lady in the bunk below me snores so loud (dad, I think she could give you a run for your money!!). I think I will defintely bust out the ear plugs tonight!!

I woke up really early this morning, about 430 am!! Our room is really bright and the sun rises super early and I am still adjusting to the time. I laid in bed for a while and read and then got up and had a shower and then I was able to go to sleep again for a couple of hours.

I had a delicous breakfast of eggs on toast (only 2 pounds!! ha) at a little cafe. I then took the tube to Picadilly Circus (not really a circus, its a central area of London) where I hopped on double decker bus tour!! I figured I only really have one day to explore so this would be best way to see the sights! It was pretty fun, took us all around, saw Buckingham Palace, the Parliament buildings, Big Ben, the Eye of London, the Tower or London....etc. I got a few good pictures which I will try to upload tomorow. After the tour I had lunch at a little italian cafe and then took the tube back to the hostel, I was pretty exhausted having not had much sleep last night so I slept for a couple hours and then went out for a walk and found this internet cafe. It is much cheaper than the internet in the hostel, its 1 pound for 2 hours, the one in the hostel is 3 pounds for half an hour!

Alright well I think I will go grab some dinner! I leave for Africa tomorow so I guess my next post will be from there!!
