Well arrived in hong kong, last leg of our journey.
We decided to get the MRT from the airport, which is cheap and easy, but not when dragging several suitcases! There are so many people here, all the time, day and night.
The next day we went off exploring and got the star ferry then took the tram to the top peak. The views of the harbour and surrounding islands was incredible even with the yellow band of smog!
After a quick shower and change, we hit the night markets. This also involved travelling on the MRT, it wasn't too bad, but I do have a fear of escalators! I did man up though.
The markets went on for miles and miles. We did manage to get a few things! Watches, tshirts, bags.....
Allanor is the only person I haven't got anything for! Probably because I know she will take a liking to everything I have bought for me!
This morning we were up bright and early for a boat trip on search of pink dolphins. We weren't disappointed! There has been a bit of public outcry over the dolphins as they are diminishing. I can't get my head round this as they are pink because of the polluted water. They have all sorts of defects and only have half the life span of normal dolphins. If they are trying to protect them, does that mean they have to carry on polluting, because surely if they have a clean up, the dolphins will turn boring grey again won't they??
Anyway they are very cute!
After we were dropped off, we went and had lunch - TGIF - there doesn't seem to be a local food here, you can get anything at any time, though the tripe fried fish skin and chickens feet doesn't really appeal!
Well off to Disneyland tomorrow hong kong style.
