Well today I think was the highlight of Victorias holiday!
A trip to hong kong Disney land. We took the tube as we are getting quite good at it now, it's so cheap and easy, but I am still scared of the escalators.
They had all the usual things and the usual queues but it really was very hot.
We had been told that there was a cyclone on the way, but it was only rated category 1 so we weren't too worried although later in the day it was upgraded to cat3 which was a bit more worrying!
We watched the Disney procession which was good fun and went on space mountain and a few other rides. We also went and watched the kilo and stick show, just for a sit down! I was picked out of the audience which highly amused Victoria!
We had decided to stay to watch the fireworks but they closed all the rides at about 6pm due to the impending cyclone. We hung around anyway and the fireworks went ahead which was really worth hanging about for.
We got back late and had a bit of a lie on the next day. There where still cat 3 warnings on place, but the worst of the storm had past. We decided to go to the avenue of stars , except we dint know any of the stars apart from Bruce Lee and jackie chan! The wind was really blowing down by the sea and it started raining again, really weird battling against the wind and rain in 28 degrees!
We were due to go on a boat cruise, but it was cancelled due to the weather , so we went to the Market instead!
On the way back we stopped in a bar for a drink, bit they had no fruit juices at all! The barman said he would make us a cocktail out of what he had, bit of a mistake as he came back with a a drink in a pint glass! It was just full of all the spirits in the bar. We felt we had to drink it as he had made the effort!
Victoria crashed out!!!
Saturday is our last day! Hopefully the weather will be better so we can watch the laser show from then sea, then it's homeward bound!!!
Well managed to see the laser show, and help the captain lighten his load of vodka!
A heat last night in hong kong and last night of our holiday. 4am start tomorrow and back to reality.
