Today Megan and did our own things. I headed to Warner Brothers Studios!! About 30 bucks in a taxi from West Hollywood and boy was it worth it!! I woke up this morning and just knew it was going to be one great day :D
The Warner Brothers backlot tour was so much fun, I didn't realize that the one set was used for so many different TV shows and movies, they just add a tree and maybe a post box and it's different! The tour started with a short clip of the history of Warner Brothers with the all time favourite TV shows and movies, it just makes the whole tour so much more exciting!! Then you hop onto a gold buggie type car but obviously bigger to drive around the lot. Starting with the streets of New York which has been used it a countless amount of shows and movies, then heading to a set which is used in Chuck and also the Little Princess - used to love that movie as a kid! My favourite part of the tour had to be when we went to the Friend set!! So bloody exciting, my all time favourite TV show, I honestly thought I would never get to see the set, let alone SIT ON THE COUCH!! The set of Central Perk is tiny, but obviously it worked!! Definitely the highlight of the tour. The next stop was the Warner Brothers Garage, cars from Austin Powers, Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, Dukes of Hazards and Batman were all there! We also went onto a set of Chuck, we weren't allowed to take photos there which is understandable, it was just great to go on the set! Oh we did drive past Ellen's sound stage as well and OMG that is HUGE!! GO ELLEN!!
After the Warner Brothers Tour, I headed to the Beverly Center, HELLO SHOPPING!! I don't really know how, but my last day in LA, I've been shopping pretty much my whole holiday and I still managed to come home with bags and bags!! H&M, Forever 21 and Bloomingdales were my targets, H&M was amazing, I really do love that store - mind you it wasn't as good as the one in Vegas at the Forum, now that place is amazing!! Then I went to Forever 21, I seriously walked in there with a smile on my face, saw all the clothes and though oh no I really do not want to do this! I actually got to the point where I was sick of shopping!! I still managed to buy a few things though :) Bloomingdales is very much like Myer on how the store is set out. I was actually on a mission for Bree to find her this dress from BCBGeneration, I did get the dress, just not for her… Well not really anyway, they didn't have the size in the colour she wanted so I chose one for myself and said she can borrow it if she wished.
After the Beverley Center experience, I walked to Marc Jacobs. I really wasn't sure how far up the hill it was but I made it! I think it took about 15 minutes to walk there, probably one of the most amazing shopping experiences of my life!! I walk in the store, completely amazing from all of the Marc Jacobs stores and items and they take my bags behind the counter so I can look around without having to worry! As I was at Marc Jacobs so I could get Bree her items, I showed the lady the codes from my phone and she took care of it all, whilst she was doing that, I was trying to choose what I should get! I walked away with a small Marc Jacobs bag which I am just in love with!! And also a pair of sunnies, I did pick out the $450 ones, but really they were a little too out of my price range!
Once I was done with all of my shopping, they were nice enough to call me a taxi, a pink taxi turned up which was just so funny! The taxi driver was pretty awesome as well, when you pay you can choose how much you tip, $1, $2 or $3, so I tipped him $3 and he as so grateful, it really put a smile on my face.
For dinner we headed across the road to Katana, a Japanese restaurant which is really hard to get into without a reservation. Our concierge got us into the sushi bar, we had some amazing dishes and such a great way to end out last night in LA!
