Today we got our tickets for the hop-on, hop-off bus. They are pretty handy, there are certain buses you can get on and off when you have your pass and the one we got on took us from West Hollywood to Santa Monica! Such a great day, good weather, great company - with Megan!! And just so much fun!!
The 1st bus took us from West Hollywood, through Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive - starting to know LA like the back of my hand and then we changed over to see another part of LA. Heading to Santa Monica, it was so exciting!! We walked along the white sand, Venice beach to our left and Malibu beach to our right, so much around with beach houses, the lift guard towers and of course the Santa Monica pier!! So much happening up there, with the Ferris Wheel, a trapeze area, the historic carousel building with soda jerks (yummmm!!), a lady dressed up as the little mermaid, some other chick had her speaker system set up and was singing away. Seriously, we saw some pretty strange things!
We started to walk to Venice beach, as I didn't realize how long the walk was actually going to be, Megan came up with the brilliant idea to rent bikes! Best idea of the day :) We rode along the beach there and stopped off to get some lunch at a pub that had a really good view. Had such a good meal, the spaghetti marinara was amazing!! After lunch we walked out bikes through the main action, saw the muscle beach gym and many many shops! Many marijuana doctors and of course all of the high people! One of the funniest people we met I would have to say was the bloke who said he was from France, he had his kids names tattooed down his forearms, his six sons on his left arm and his six daughters on his right arm! I loved Venice beach, it's such a carefree atmosphere!! Glad we got to spend some time down there!
We headed to The Grove for some more shopping; Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret, ahhh so much fun!! Now Victoria's Secret is more then underwear, there was make up, shampoo and condition, perfume and so much more!! Such a great shopping experience as well, everyone was so helpful!
After our fun-filled shopping night, it was time for Chipotle!! Yummy yummy Mexican food!! Chipotle is where we had our first LA Mexican experience with Elise after we watched Rove LA film!! When we got home we pretty much flaked it!!
