We bought tickets for the hop on/hop off bus and spent way too much time in traffic doing a loop of the city. It was good to see places like Kensington palace, Notting Hill etc (from the bus) and get that perspective.

We bought tickets for Buckingham Palace and did the tour, takes you through two full wings of the palace. This is only available for a few months over summer.

An excellent insight into the palace and enjoyed having coffee and cake in the palace gardens afterwards.

Took the bus around to the shard and went to teh 72nd floor and had a good look around.

We also hopped on the last London River Cruise for the day and travelled from the Tower to the Eye while seeing the town lights come on.

Walked back to our hotel while sharing half a Byrons hamburger along the way.
