Well it sounds as though you've landed on your feet once again. Can't be bad free use of a holiday home and a 30' yacht. I wonder what the odds were of bumping in to those guys again? I reckon you've got more chance of winning the lottery! Anyway enjoy what's left of California before heading east. Look after yourselves. Love Dad

So you've got free accommodation, staying on a yacht, I'm just getting more and more jealous of your trip. Glad you kept away from the vegas gambling, can't imagine it's much fun anyway...
Look forward to your next report lots of love dad

I have been quite enjoying checking out the Venice Beach web site, but Santa Barbara does look very nice - are you going on a winery trip. It doesn't have a web cam though so I can't look to see if you're just passing! The weather looks as though its been lovely for you and I hope you've sorted out your heat bumps Tegan, Piz Buin anti allergy sun cream should help if you can get it.
Bertie is growing fast and his shape is really changing but he still has the face of a scoundrel.
Enjoy Santa Barbara and San Fransisco but don't try and swim to Alcatraz, apparently you won't make it.

Hope you are having fun by the sea, we can see two live web cams from Venice beach, in fact I've just seen a man run with his dog and the clean up truck. You could stand in front of it and wave at a pre arranged time and we could all see you - how cool would that be and also fairly spooky!
WE are going to take Bertie to see Em tomorrow. He is growing fast.
Enjoy the sights

By the time you both get this you will probably be in LA. Andrew and I went there in 1990 believe it or not. We did the usual things like Hollywood (handprints in the pavement, big houses) Universal Studios (although there's not much of them left at the moment!) and Disneyland and Queen Mary at Long Beach. Have a great time there mixing with the rich and famous, you never know you might see the Beckhams!!!!!!!!! Look forward to hearing to your further adventures. Bye for now lots of love Andrew,Claire Oli and Dan XX

Well, I've had a look at the Sky Jump website and I'm not convinced that I'd do it. Having said that the Sky Walk looks even worse! Thanks for the call on my birthday it was greatly appreciated as was the present. Went to the theatre that night - not brilliant. Doing the LIBDA bike ride again tomorrow with Howard and Diana & co - I'll tell them you saw Becky in NZ. Well enjoy your last few days there and have a good flight to LA. All the best, Dad.
Chris
North island sounds really good, Hobbiton especially and the hot pools, they sound my sort of temperature. It was really great of Toby to be able to phone this morning for Dad's birthday and I'm also glad i found out about the jump thing afterwards.
Enjoy your last few days and have a good trip to the USA
LOL

Hi there - Glad to hear you are OK and made it to Auckland in one piece. Even better that the ferry crossing was calm - it can be a bit dicey that one. Enjoy Auckland and I hope you will have some good memories from your whirlwind tour of NZ.
Enjoy your travels in the US and go safely. We are off in just over a week now! Just hope the weather in UK picks up soon.
Hamilton is fine by the way - and calls himself "little nutbrown hare" now - great book! Lots of love, Marianne, Jonathan and Hamilton xxx
