Arrived in Koh Phangan on Wednesday after taking an incredibly scary speed boat over to the island. It was quite nice all of us who met in Koh Samui left at the same time that day. Danielle went to Koh Tao to do her PADI course, Debbie went back to Bangkok and myself, Gillon and Jenni all came to Koh Phangan. I had not booked any accomadation for when i got here so i decided to stay in a beach hut for the night to see what it was like. I took some beautiful photos which i will upload another time. My hut was right on the beach and the sea was literally underneath it. It was amazing weather but then all of a sudden it changed and i was in the middle of a freak storm! We had to wait it out in the bar as it was on higher ground, and the fact the waves were smashing against my hut i didnt really want to stay in it anyway! The storm passed after a couple of hours, the wind was ferocious. There was only two of us staying there so it was a bit boring but never the less was peaceful and quiet which is really nice sometimes. The next morning i deciede to pack my bags and get a taxi to where Gillon and Jenni were staying, i managed to get a good price on the internet so i was happy enough. We sat down on the beach for a couple of hours having a chat and they introduced me to an English Couple who are on a 6 month honeymoon as they just got married a few weeks ago. I went to get an hours sleep in the afternoon but ended up sleeping for hours. We all went to Sunset Cove for dinner, food was OK, but no one that impressed. We then went to The Pirates Bar, which again is practically in the sea. We had a few drinks there and it was really relaxing. I had a few Vodka and Redbulls, it was shocking to see the amount of Vodka they put in, over half the glass was Vodka with a dribble of Redbull, im not coplaing at 1pound a drink though. Everyone went to bed at about 1am. My room was s*** and hot, i forgot to say dirty and no doubt diseased as well so i was not a happy bunny. I set my alarm for 8am but must have pressed the snooze button 100 times and finally got up at 11am. Went to reception first thing to complain about the room and they moved me in to one of the new ones, and its out of this world. Im now neighbours with Chris and Frankie which is cool.
Today pretty much consisted of sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and the sauna which has chilled everyone out so much. Myself and Chris were snorkelling for a couple of hours, it was so interesting to see all the life in the sea. We are all getting showered and changed now and going to watch a film and have some dinner.
ITS SUCH A HARD LIFE.
All in all having a great time, not spending as much now which is also good!
