Hello again!
Spent the last two days surfing non-stop in Sydney and took a 12 hour bus last night from Sydney to Byron Bay, arrived about 7am this morning.
Got off the coach with absolutely no idea where we had booked for the next three nights so after vaguely recognising a picture on a bus we joined two other English girls and eventually made it to our hostel, three hours before we could check in... So we all went out for a pretty expensive and really not that great breakfast!
Spent the rest of the day battling the extreme currents and rip tides that Byron bay has to offer... We're all currency weighting up the fact that renting surfboards, a daily event, is about $45 a day... And we can buy 2nd hand, better ones for the cost of three days rental... So we're all tempted by that considering that we have a good few weeks left of daily surfing.
Not up to much tomorrow...
Oh, apart from that me and one of the English girls have signed up for a 14,000ft sky-dive in the morning over Byron bay - which is going to be absolutely awesome! Can't wait! Always one of those things I've wanted to do and doing it here - with an amazing view and relatively cheap with the best, most reputable company in Aus can only be a good idea!!
Bring it on!! Over 60 seconds of free fall.

Dad Now you've told the whole world about your skydive you can't pull out now! An interesting flight to add to your logbook as you will then have more takeoffs than landings. Love peace and opening parachutes Dad xxx Have fun
gpj Hi Tom. Just got back from an e mail free week in Sussex. Got a txt from mum asking ME to talkj you out of the sky dive. Sooo. you are not to do it as it will not make mum happy....ok?# My personal opinion however is ....GO FOR IT. Dont tell mum!!!
Mum I see I get no support in trying to talk you out of the sky dive... ohmygod... I am in a complete panic... text me the second you land so I can relax. I wish you collected stamps. BIG hug and be safe xxxxxx
Tom HELLO! Haha i don't get why it's such a big deal! It's safe and i think i can easily say... IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dad - Yeah pretty weird expiriencing taking off and landing on your feet after free-falling for 80 seconds!! GPJ - Good to hear ya! No way id have backed out of it! Was seriously good and i really want to get into the sport now!! The guys there earn 500 aus dollars a day and do about 10 jumps a day, then do their last one...land on the beach, and then surf!! Mum - ALIVE x
