I know that I haven't written lately but have been a lil run down from work but here goes. I've had my shifts changed, so now I'm getting up at 5am. Big problem comes with me trying to get to sleep at night in a room that's just off the kitchen with paper thin walls and Polish flatmates who like to sit in there yabbering away in Polish while getting drunk. It's a weird language I have to admit. It sounds kinda like a mix between French and Russian while choking on a sandwich. Been half heartedly trying to teach one of them a bit of English but I just don't really have that much motivation for it right now.
Anyway, lets see, what have I been up to recently? Well, I went to see Buckingham palace and saw the changing of the guard, (oooh such shiny uniforms!). Then from there I went to Trafalgar square and this old, old, old art museum with a bunch of paintings buy sum guy called Picasso, or Rembrandt, or Davinchi, or sumthin like that J. It was actually rather awe-inspiring. I mean they had stuff dating back to the 1400's! Westminster Abby is stunning as well, and well worth the £10 to get in (that's about $30 kiwi, no seriously it was THAT good). It's the one thing that I recommend to every one that comes into the hostel when they ask that inevitable question of "what should I go and see while I'm here?" Haven't been rich enough to go and see any shows yet but pay day is just around the corner (I get paid monthly) but when I do get that cash in my hot lil hands I've got plans to go and see Spamalot, the new play being put on by the Monty Python crew. Supposed to be a good laugh, but damn expensive (well it is London, what did I expect). In other news, I decided to pick up my Japanese notebook today after a year of not studying, and teach my self some more Japanese?. Damn I'd forgot how hard it was! I really have no natural aptitude for languages I reckon. I mean, I failed 5th form English way back in high school ?. Then again they did pay me $60,000 N.Z. a year in Japan to teach it, go figure ( D?..og, D..og, Dog, well done!). Bizarrely, I just realised that I only know three English people in London and two of them I work with. I actually knew more English people when I was up in Scotland! How weird is that? Any way, I don't really have anything much else to say other than I miss you heaps. Ta ta, ruv from Taz
