Hey Family and Friends,
Up here in Mussoorie with not much to do. It's been raining almost all day since clinic got out so we haven't done much. We did grab are umbrellas and take a trip down the street to look at a few shops and stop at a nice coffee house. There are two other medical students here from England, but not in the same program, who have been loads of fun to be around. They're very nice, Rob and Joanna (sp?) are their names and it's very interesting to learn about the UK. At the coffee house we stopped mostly to buy some cookies of which taste nowhere near cookies back home. Everything here just doesn't have the same taste as the US or even Britain as I am told. The only thing that taste close to the US equivalent are Oreos, but even they tasted a bit funny.
Tonight, Rob bought a toaster, bread, and butter because he has what is called marmite, which is from what he told me a paste like spread you put on toast. It's something that he has been missing a lot from home and here found some here imported from England so hopefully it'll taste alright. Even so it's supposed to be an acquired taste and chances are I wont like it anyway. In Britain there are those who either love it or hate it [Rob loves the stuff but Joanna hates it].
Zoey also found a movie that she has been looking for ever since Jade told her it was her favorite, Kuch kuch Hotah Hai. We rented it and are probably going to watch it on one of our laptops tonight. It's 4 hours long, well 3.5 but still. SO tonight we will be eating Marmite bread and watching a movie. Quite exciting.
I'll try to send some picture when the weather clears up so look forward to that. Other than that communication up here isn't that great so if you've been trying to reach me on the cell phone it doesn't really work in the hospital [not to mention my phone is now dying every day now]. I am doing much better and am starting to have an appetite again.
Stay safe America and win some golds. Be well family and friends.
