Up early to leave Kampong Cham & catch a public Bus to Phnom Penh.
We arrived early afternoon & arrived at the Fancy Guesthouse & went for a quick walk to the waterfront where we ate lunch overlooking the Mekong River.
After lunch, we went to the Genocidal Museum (S21 Building), & the Killing Fields just outside Phnom Pen. I had to wait outside for the last 15 minutes, as I was just filled with sadness over all the horrible things that have happened in these places.
I then proceeded to flash on national television. Oh yeah, I went there..
On the way back from the Killing Fields, a few of us were dropped at a service station and told to wait inside for a TukTuk to come get us & he would tell us that his name is Khom. He arrived & we were whisked away to the National TV studio. Apparently we weren't there to sign me up as a nation TV star, we were there to watch Cambodian Kickboxing, which was a nationally televised event. It's the first thing that we've been too where we were the only tourists & I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Well, till I realized that the groin of my $3 happy pants had split & I was sitting there cross legged & flashing on National TV.. Only me.
After this we went out for dinner & a few drinks before walking the long way home & stumbling across some rather interesting sights.
The next morning (Saturday 23/3), we had a free morning, with a few of us opting to visit the Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda, before heading to the Central Markets to shop up a storm (not me, I'm still being relatively self controlled) & then stumbled across a rooftop bar where I would have spent the rest of my day if I didn't have to board a 1pm bus to Chombok Village.
