I've finally made it to the Jersey Shore!!! They call Atlantic City the Vegas of the East Coast and it's pretty much true, minus the fact that there's a beach here. However it's not quite like I expected. I was thinking something more along the lines of Surfers Paradise, instead I've discovered it's pretty much a ghetto and like a scene out of Grand Theft Auto. There's definitely parts of the town which are a little rough which we learnt when we found a supermarket in the back streets. Note to self: never go off the main streets again. Haha. Even in the main street though we still ran into trouble when we witnessed a shoplifting, a chase and then the arrest of a twelve year old girl. Pretty eventful day to say the least. We made up for it though with some retail therapy :) Atlantic City is also known for all its outlet stores, every shop you could possibly think of. That night we then chilled on the boardwalk. It was actually a nice atmosphere down there with the beach bars all playing music and the pier carnival. Was a good way to finish our stay in Atlantic City.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm still glad I came to Atlantic City. It was interesting and eye opening to see a different aspect of America and experience a different culture to what we're used to.
P.S: I had to do something memorable in Atlantic city so I got my cartilage pierced. Sorry rents :)
