Well, I have been in Germany for the past two days, safely arriving with my luggage in tacked and on time. Fred and his parents picked me up from the airport to drive us a few hours south to their small village. My first day, I did not do too much. I did have my first German beer-non alcolic malt beer called Karamalz. It was very good, not bitter at all, kind of like root beer. I also had the very German sauage salad-which is basically sausage that looks like cut up ham with tomatoes, pickles, onions and dressing.

Yesterday, Fred and I went to Ettlingen for a little while before going to Karlsruhe. We had a nice ice cream in the marketplace in with Fred's mom before taking the tram into Karlsruhe. It was such a beautiful day out-very sunny but not too hot. We had lunch at a very good restaurant-sitting outside. We both had chicken and vegetables in a white wine sauce on spaetzle. Then, we went to the zoo, and saw the many animals. It was a very good day.
