Good Morning Everyone! Well It's morning for you, afternoon for me!
Just wanted to update you on my trip so far! Since My last entry it was been pretty mellow but very fun! My new Class started this past week, Trend Forecasting! And let me tell you..it is for sure going to be alot of work. We each individually will be predicting the next fashion trends for the year 2012-2013 both for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Fall. I am very excited because a) its individual b)I feel like this is for sure my calling. Our Professor is fabulous! His name is Stephen and he has been doing this for years and has travelled all over the world from Milan to Paris to London to China. The other day we were given these small little sketch books for us to write in notes or observations we make while in the streets or shopping as well as drawling specific items we see or create in our heads. We get graded on this to see how well we observe what is going on around us not just in fashion but in our environment! I love it! So far my "Sketchy" has alot of drawling of beautiful designs I have seen as well as some of my own! I cannot wait to present my Autumn/Fall Collection...I'm going futuristic, robotic arms and face plates the whole SHA BAM! See the point of this is to see how creative we can be as well as how close we could realistically come to predict what the nexts years fashions will be! I will try and blog about this class as much as possible!
As for social life, Last night Ashley and I (one of the other girls in my program) went out on the town and explored the LATIN QUARTER! It was a blast! We found this cute, tradtional French Rest/Bar. They had live music, great food, fabulous drinks and of course a very warm environment! We felt like family because we were there as a part of a wedding reception (got to witness their first dance and cutting the cake...so romantic) and a birthday (one of the workers was celebrating). And we stayed till close the owners had champagne! It was a night to remember for sure! And not to mention LIVE FRENCH JAZZ! It was breath-taking!
I am so glad that I have be able to experience so much in such a short time thus far! I can't believe it's going by so fast!
Till Next time! Love and Kisses!
