So we set off from Antarctica on the afternoon of Saturday 15th, the 1st night was quite rough with huge swells. Not sure of size of swells but was worse than trip down, had to collect everything off the floor by the door of our cabin the next morning. Few people unwell but not as many as apparently quite a few went to ship doctor to get seasick patches, worked for Nat and obviously others.
Was rougher as we actually on course to sail past Cape Horn, the ship's captain put in a request to the Chilean Navy to access the waters under Chile's jurisdiction and got the okay. By 1030 this morning we expecting to be passing around Cape Horn. We also due to dock in Ushuaia by this evening, will spend the night on the ship and then disembark tomorrow morning. Will be back after Cape Horn.
Went round Cape Horn, was probably one of the smoothest parts of our trip, was shrouded in mist and clouds though so could not see a lot.
Had lunch then wandered out onto back deck and there were 3 hourglass dolphins swimming and leaping alongside the ship, initially I thought I was videoing them but realised I didn't press the little red button...useless. Did get some footage though.
