Flew into Buenos Aires from Ushuaia yesterday. Buenos Aires is very European, buildings are reminiscent of Paris, and extremely high density living.
We are staying in an area called Recoleta, across the road is a huge cemetery - is where Eva Peron is buried. There is long expanses of parks and alfresco dining all the street, so nice to be in a warmer climate. ( I do miss Antarctica though, feel like jumping back on the boat again.)
Got the necessities out of the way yesterday - posted cold clothing home (possibly still bears some penguin poo..oops) and did laundry.
Today sat and had coffee in a plaza and watched the world go by for an hour, then walked for a couple of hours and rode the hop-on hop-off bus to get bearings. Had a giant parilla steak for dinner - so good!! Parilla is an open fire BBQ grill.
Tomorrow heading to La Boca, to check out Tango.
Hoping for a good sleep tonight as had terrible sleep last night, actually had nightmares and they were awful...
