Los Angeles
After San Francisco we flew back to LA to spend the weekend at Trilby's. She took us to the Santa Monica Pier, and it took all afternoon to get there and back. LA is not a city I would want to live in. On our last day in LA we went to Six Flags, a rollercoaster park. We survived the X2, which is one of the most technologically advanced rollercoasters in the world, and was absolutely terrifying the first time around. There was also the Tatsu, which had you hanging in a harness facing the ground, and the Riddler's Revenge, which was a rollercoaster you actually had to stand up on.
On the way back to Trilby's place we went to the supermarket, which was an experience in itself. I really wish I'd taken a photo of the display of two litre bottles of Bacardi and Vodka in the middle of the aisle. Only in America!
