We woke at 3.30am and Aunty Sylvia kindly gave us a life to Parramatta train station where we got the train to central then to the airport. It was surprisingly busy for that early with what looked like construction and service workers.
We checked in easily and were quickly on our flight. Our 20th flight this year. We had a spare seat next to us do I lay down and slept for the majority of the flight. Coming in to land, the terrain was stunning. All red with some amazing patterns from above. There was much more bush than I expected!
At 10am we got our free shuttle into town. We weren't able to check in yet so took a 15 min walk into town to check in for our tour tomorrow. On our walk we walked past 95% aboriginals. Which at first was exciting but at a closer glance they looked very poor and sorry for themselves. Hard not to stare sort of scenario - was pretty sad.
We checked into our tour and the last said there were 54 people on our tour tomorrow but we would be split into 3 busses! We also learnt that we weren't sleeping in tents...but swags...which are basically big bags...so under the stars!!! Eeeeek (snakes, spiders and ants?)
We then walked around town, shared a subway for lunch which was a little spicy so had a McDs ice cream!
I then browsed the shops and Garth did a supermarket shop.
Back at the hostal we were given our rooms with another chec couple and I just chilled all afternoon. It absolutely rained cat and dogs!! I couldnt believe it!!! We ate pot noodle for dinner and went to bed early.
