Tirsdag 1/1:

Today Jo's grandma and grandpa came to visit us. We got curry and biriyani again. I am really getting more and more used to their spicy food down here. I really liked the curry today. It was so good! (Yes mum: I will bring the recipe home with me! Both the biriyani and the curry!).

Ja.. faar altsaa ikke skrevet om alle dage! Glemmer det .. hehe. Men skriver lidt om de gange jeg har haft et af mine kameraer med.

Saturday 5/11:

Visited Megan, Terry and Sharron. Had so much fun and ate lots of nice food ;)

Sunday 6/11:

We went to a family gathering with Robyn's dads family again. It was very funny! They played a game called 30 seconds. Wich they all enjoy! And they all is really into the game - and none of them wants to lose! It was so much fune to watch them play it.

Monday 7/1:

We went to a mall called Grandwest with Robyn's dad, Robyn, Jo' and I. We looked around, and ate some food. (I'm getting quite fat down here, haha! I keep on eating fast food and drinking coke.)

In the evening we went to a casiono. We each got 30 rand to gamble with. I won 50 rand twice! And then I lost it all.. Haha. But I was more lucky than Jo' and Robyn were.

Tuesday 8/1:

Jo's started the day with washing windows - and because I am so sweet and I know u guys must have evidence to believe that she actually did it, I took some photos. After that she kept on crying about her arms and legs were sore after that, yeah what a workout she did there! Haha.

Wednesday 9/1:

My knee gets more and more swollen so we now believe it's time to visit the doctor. So we make an appointment for Thursday.

We went to visit one of Beulah's friends and her daughter which Jo' used to go to school with. It was really nice and they were very sweet. We got pasta with pesto! Lovely! Hehe. We also got a very nice dessert (see pictures).

Thursday 10/11:

Jo' was supposed to have a driving lesson after Robyn, but it got cancelled. That meant she also went along to the doctor with me. The doctor sucked around 35 ml liquid out, and put a bandaged on my knee, in hope that it would help.

Friday 11/1:

Happy birthday dad!

This evening we went to a gathering with some of Jo's classmates. It was a party - but a lot different from Denmark's parties - it wasn't with alcohol! And they all danced? You would never experience that in Denmark. Maybe a gathering with no alcohol.. but then there won't be any dancing. Haha. People in Denmark are much shyer. I couldn't dance because of my knee, but for me it was fun enough to just watch them having fun and dancing. It was so much different. Some of them asked both Jo' and I why I didn't dance with them, and of course it would have been more fun, but I tried for 5 minutes and that didn't work so well with lovely knee.

We were at a girl's house called Kaylyn She had the cutest puppy. I played a little bit with it before everyone came. Jo' was so scared of it. When Duncan came to pick Jo', Bongi and I up, Jo had to go and fetch her shirt and Kaylyn's room. Jo' came strayed back again, and wanted me to go in front of her because the dog was in the room. It was so funny! While I distracted the dog and played with it, Jo' thought it was a good idea to run out of the room. Of course the dog saw that as a game, and ran after her! Jo' screamed and ran down the stairs; luckily the dog was too small to go down the stairs by itself. But I laughed so hard! Jo' didn't see it as funny as I did.. Haha

Saturday 12/1:

Today we went to a horse race! Yes had been looking forward to this day for a while. It was a very big horse race. It was called to Queens Plate. It was here where this year's horse was found.

I took of course a lot of photos. We were so lucky that we had VIP tickets, and had the best seats you could have! We sat right next to the race track! Jo and I gambled on two horses. I chose mine cause of its looks (not a good idea) and Jo' chose hers because it didn't want to walk around in a circle where people can see the horses, and they warm a little bit up. To our big surprise Jo's horse came in as second! It was not at all one of the popular horses. It was actually sat to come in as 14 out of 15. Haha. But Jo won 94 rand! She was so happy! We bought Sushi for it.

Because Jo' won, Robyn also wanted to gamble. She bet on 2 horses. One of them came second, and the other one came the third!! She won 320 rand! And she only bet 40 rand in all. Wow. She bought sushi too. (yeah we love sushi!). That made her day even better! This morning Robyn also got her driving license, so today really was her day J

I made a whole album just with horses.. cause there is quite a few hehe J

Sunday 13/11:

Today was the mission: Find Camilla a new phone! We went to three different malls before we bought one. But we found the right one! It is a Sony Xperia, and I love it. I will take good care of it! The next mission is now.. get a cover for it! Ducan does not at all believe that it is a Camilla proved phone, and if it stood to him, I am not even allowed to use it before I get a cover for it. Haha!

Monday 14/11:

Today Robyn, Jo' and I went to New Lands to Projects Abroad's host office. They sent me some emails last week, where they said they were going to pick me up at the airport, so we thought it was a good idea to say hi, and make sure they knew where to pick me up. Also they hadn't told me what time they were coming, and it is on Thursday?

But anyway we said hi, a bit awkward but yeah. They told me that they had my address and I was going to be picked up at 10 o'clock. I am sad that it is that early, because then neither Duncan nor Beulah is going to be at home, they are both at work. So it is only going to be Jo' and Robyn who will be home with me. They also told me that during my time I will be living with 6 different volunteers. 4 people at a time, and we have 2 separate bedrooms. So that is going to be fun. Thursday the driver is going to drive me to my host family in Grassy Park, and Friday he will pick me up again and drive me to the host office where I will get my introduction. I am the second volunteer worker to come to the host family, and the next 3 will come during the next few days after me.

We went to Claremont afterward. Shopped a little and got fat by McDonalds. I also got my phone fixed with the internet. So now I have whatsaap!

When we got home my knee was hurting so bad that I nearly couldn't bare it. I actually cried.. hahah. It hadn't helped at all that doctor visit. So we went again when Beulah and Duncan got home. The doctor did the same procedure as last time but this time she also gave me some steroids. Hopefully it will help this time!

I am not allowed to walk around tomorrow, so it will be a stay home and relax day!

Tuesday 15/11

As I was told to do - we had a relax day! We stayed home the whole day and for in the afternoon Jo, Robyn and I went to visit Jo's older brother and his wife. It was so nice! And they were very sweet, and it was nice to finally meet Jo's brother. He is very protective, like my brothers are ;)

Wednesday 16/11

Bongi, Jo and I went to Simons Town to look at pinguins! They are called Jackass Pinguins. haha! After we saw the pinguins, Jo and I went to the high school Beulah works at. It was really nice to see how a high school looks like inside.

For dinner we went out to Foodlovers marked - to get some nice food before i leave Muizenberg. Of course I had pork - wont be having that for a while (because I am going to live with a muslim family). It was really nice and I loved my pork sandwitch :D
